WHAT: Emerging and established artists and photographers from all around the world are invited to submit their finest photography moments to be considered for the 2017 Athens Photo Festival exhibition programme.
The selected projects will be exhibited at the Benaki Museum from 7 June to 31 July 2017.
The Festival is looking for a wide variety of works, ranging from fine art to documentary and photojournalism, photo-based installations and multimedia works. Organizers are also accepting submissions for their photobook section as well as for the Young Greek Photographers exhibition.
Athens Photo Festival is the leading international festival of photography in Southeastern Europe. Under the title ‘Still Searching,’ Athens Photo Festival celebrates its 30 years anniversary, and continues its tradition of exploring the social impact of the ever-changing visual culture.
At the core of the festival is a range of events, including portfolio reviews, screenings, talks and discussions, workshops, and various community and participatory projects. Community involvement will also be encouraged through satellite exhibitions in various locations in the city.
