WHAT: A thrilling musical mash-up as the violins and double basses, clarinets, trombones and flutes of the Prague Philharmonic replace electric guitars, basses, amplifiers and synthesizers to render iconic rock moments under the Acropolis.
Hear the greatest hits of Scorpions, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen, AC/DC, Deep Purple and The Police, performed by 80 great musicians of the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and the Athens State Orchestra, under the direction of the conductor, composer and orchestrator Friedemann Riehle.
The program includes music and songs from legendary albums, such as Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of the Moon” and “The Wall”, eminent songs of Deep Purple such as “Smoke on the Water” and “Perfect Strangers”, great hits of the Queen, such as “We are the Champions”, “A Kind of Magic”, as well as works of Led Zeppelin, Scorpions, AC/DC and Police.
